1. We are super interested in different cultures in general. We love watching documentaries and getting inspired by what we see and learn. There is so much depth behind every object, ritual and custom, it’s so cool learning about what’s under the surface. The silk road has been a particular inspiration for Sulvain’s back story. NHK collaborated with China and made some really interesting documentaries about it! :D
2. We picked the 17th century because of Huygens. :D He was one of the first astronomers to really write in depth about his theories on aliens, and that was really intriguing to us.
